You know you're in Honduras when:
You actually look forward to a cold shower
Hot showers are a thing in the past
You share a bathroom with 70 or more people
Your bathroom consists of 3 toilets and 2 showers so naturally, there are always at least 10 people in there
It's perfectly fine to see chickens running around
The rooster crows at 4 am…every morning, which then causes the other rooster to crow
You find a turtle in your laundry water
Rice and beans will be your food for every meal
When you find good french fries for 1 dollar you buy 12 orders for 6 people
A swing is a piece of wood tied to a piece of rope hanging from a tree.  This provides hours of entertainment
Don't worry when people honk their horns as they see 2 white people walking.  They are being friendly and they will stare at you
Going over to a strangers house for dinner is perfectly acceptable
It's perfectly fine to explode with excitement when you see spaghetti
Your tent floods from the mass amounts of rain
It's normal that your laundry won't dry within 24 hours
You plan doing laundry around the rain and thunder storms
Any child that sees you wants to play
It's perfectly fine to find groups of 7 sitting on the floor worshiping
Relationships are more important than time, so it's fine to be late
    Personal space?? what's that again??
It's totally acceptable to be 45 minutes late
A fruit truck drives by, and you buy 20 bananas for people (equivalent to 1 USD.  Best. Buy. Ever.)
Sleeping by the highway, its common to wake up to traffic at all hours
    Some cars sound like helicopters
People walk half an hour just to receive healing
It's perfectly fine for a person to kiss you on the cheek
This past week in Honduras has been amazing!  We have been continuing to fit into this new culture as best as we can, and had to laugh at some of the things we have had to face as we begin to blend in, let go of all of our comforts at home, and find our new "comforts" here.  Please continue to pray for us as we begin this new week, start our ministry, and continue to make Honduras our new living place.
