Ask the Lord

These past 2 weeks, our ministry looked very different for us.  We spent a lot of time with The Lord and with each other.  However, we also did ministry outside of our time with The Lord.  We lived next to a village that was called San Juan.  When we first got the word that The Lord was calling us to go out to the community and surrounding communities, we weren't given any direction as to what we were doing.  In fact, we were given 3 words: Ask The Lord.  So my team and I sat down together, and asked Him where He wanted us to go, and who he wanted us to be with.  Before that day, we had made a relationship with some kids and their mothers that lived in the village.  Everyday we would meet them around 4pm hang out with them.  At first, we thought that He was sending us back to those kids, but He had a different plan.

It first started off with me getting an image of the docks that we lived close by.  My team mate then heard that we weren't suppose to go to the kids until 4:30.  So we then decided to head down towards the docks, and we decided that we needed to keep our eyes and our hearts open to what The Lord could have for us.  So we started our journey to the docks.
We first decided that we should go say hello to these girls that worked at a fruit stand we made a relationship with.  We went over, supported their business, and talked with them for a little bit, until we felt it was time to head back down to the docks.  We pulled away and prayed asking The Lord to guide us.  I once again got the image of the docks, and the image of me being in a boat heading across the water.  A couple other people heard the word "dock" and the word "remember" so we knew for sure that The Lord was leading us to the docks.  Just as we were about to leave for them, one of my team mates got a pain in her left leg.  We took that as God saying we will be looking for someone with a hurt leg.  So we headed down to the docks, but while we were walking that way, we still kept our eyes and our hearts open.  One of my team mates knew a man who sat on the sidewalk with a hurt leg, and felt that God may be leading us to him.  We then went looking for him, but he was no where in sight.  We then once again pulled away as a team, and asked The Lord again to guide us.  Once again I got the image of the docks, and one of my team mates got the image of a child being held in it's mothers arms and leaning up against it's mother.  The crazy thing was that as soon as she finished saying that, the exact woman and child walked by and started to head down towards the docks.  I guess God really wanted us to head down there.  So we tried to catch up to the woman, but she literally disappeared.  We saw her walk into a group of people and then no one saw her after that.  So we started down the hill towards the docks, until one of my team mates was lead to a man sitting at a bus stop, who had a hurt left leg, and lived in the house by the docks.  Talk about God leading us right to him! So we all laid hands on him, and started to pray for him.  I held his leg and began to feel it shake a little.  We asked him how it felt, but he felt it feel the same.  So we prayed again.  We then asked him again how it felt, and he said it felt so much better.  We all were blown away at how God led us to that man, and how when we woke up, God had that plan for us.  We then gathered together and prayed again on where God was going to lead us.  We felt him say to continue going to the docks, so we made that walk down there.  We all sat down, and talked a little since no one was on the docks.  And then my team mate brought up this question: "Guys, remember the person we were before these past 2 weeks?"  We all were just blown away at how much God has formed us during those two weeks.  And then we went back farther.  Back to Gracie's, to Launch, and even to Training Camp.  God gave us about half an hour to remember and reflect on the work that has been done in us individually, and as a team.  And when 4:25 came, we gather back together and asked where God was leading us, and we all got the confirmation to go back to the kids.  By 4:30, we were playing with the kids, just like we would usually do.
God is so good!  He had a plan for us that day, just like how he has a plan for us each day that we continue to live.  Sometimes, you just have to pull yourself out multiple times of the day and ask Him where to go.  He's our GPS. God Positioning System.
